ALMOST MONUMENTAL

All of us "Narutards" have our fantasy battles that we would die to see. Personally, I think instead of the fillers, they should have just done random character battles. Ah, but I digress, I have come up with a list of what I think would be five very interesting/entertaining fights to see in Naruto. Some would just be awesome powerhouse battles, some would be very good match ups, some are plausible, some are impossible, and some just really need to happen. So, without further ado . . .

5. Zabuza vs Kisame

I'm pretty interested to see how well Zabuza would hold up in this pairing. I'm fairly certain Kisame would win, just based on the way he talks about Zabuza and the fact that Samehada seems more powerful than Zabuza's proclaimed "head cleaver." I want to see exactly why Kisame believes himself superior, though most likely his Jutsu are just more advanced. Either way, I think this would be a really cool fight to see. Two wielders of giant blades, both legendary swordsman from the Hidden Mist. You get the point.

4. Jiraiya vs Tenten

This fight would be guaranteed greatness. If you think Tenten is half as pointless as I do, you know she just needs to get stomped on by Jiraiya and that would be that. Honestly, I don't get why she didn't die against Temari, except maybe that Masashi Kishimoto didn't want Temari to have killed a Konoha genin. I wouldn't be nearly as upset with her pointless existence if it wasn't flaunted in our face from time to time (as in Shippuuden during the fight with Team Gai and their duplicates). Tenten is a half character that doesn't deserve any more of our time, so she needs to have rasengan wiped all over her by Jiraiya. Or at least he could turn her into a frog. She might be more interesting that way. And maybe throw Ino into the battle while I'm at it.

3. Shikamaru vs Shino

Both of these Konoha Gs are regarded as pretty intelligent, and while Shikamaru probably has one up on Shino in that department, I think Shino's abilities might make up for it. Unfortunately, this is clearly a battle we will never see, but I think, once again, this would just be a really interesting match up. I actually don't know who would win in this case. I'd probably have to go with Shikamaru, because he's a total badass. That's not to say that Shino isn't, and maybe his day will come yet, but for now my respect for Shiks ("sheeks") is a little higher. Either way, this would be a very interesting duel of wits.

In all honesty, I'd like to see Shikamaru paired up with most characters in the show. I just want to know how far the creators think his smarts can take him in a battle, plus his fights are always very engaging.

2. Kakashi vs Kabuto

This match up has been hinted at way too many times throughout the story to have yet to occur. Orochimaru thinks Kabuto is about the same level as Kakashi, and despite the fact that this is a warm, steamy pile of bs, this fight still needs to happen. VERY BADLY. Especially (*SPOILERS* if you don't read the manga skip to fight number 1) because after that last stunt they pulled with Kabuto and Naruto in the forest, it's about time for Kakashi to lay the beat down on him, real hard. And no one else.

1. Itachi vs Orochimaru

There's definitely some history between these characters. We have been given very brief, very vague, very holy glimpses of the encounters that have taken place between these two, but a real fight between them seems to be one of the best fights that could possibly come out of the series. Both characters command the utmost respect from pretty much everyone, and though we have seen bits and pieces of their power, we don't know exactly what either of them are capable of. It seems the general opinion, both of those in the show and those who watch it, that Itachi would/maybe did win? Either way, it's hard to imagine either one of them losing. I want to watch, damn it. Whether it be from the past, or by some miracle it has yet to come, I really hope we get to see more between Itachi and Orochimaru.

Anyway, that's what I've come up with for the fights I'd like to see in the show, realistic or not. My suggestion for remedying the desire to see fights that will probably never happen is this: get your hands on one of the many Naruto fighting games and enact them yourself. I have Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 (the Japanese version of Clash of Ninja 4) and it's quite fun. Not much else you can do but hope.
